Dogs
Big dogs, small dogs – at NSVH, we love them all! NSVH welcomes canine patients of all sizes. We have comfortable accommodations, appropriately sized equipment and decades of experience in caring for purebreds and mixed breeds of every variety.
Dr. DiGiacomo is a strong proponent of Fear Free veterinary visits. Our staff has undergone special training to ensure that your dog’s visit to NSVH is as stress free as possible. We also have a variety of training techniques and supplements that can be utilized to help a fearful or anxious dog learn to relax, and even enjoy, their visits with us.
Cats
Dr. DiGiacomo is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and has a special interest in all things feline.
NSVH is one of only select group of practices nationwide certified as a “Cat Friendly Practice”. We have a separate waiting area and exam room devoted exclusively to our feline patients. Additionally, our staff is highly trained in gentle, fear-free handling techniques for cats.
For cats who are fearful or anxious at the veterinarian, we have a variety of strategies that can be implemented to ensure your kitty has a calm, fear free experience with us.
Chickens
NSVH is one of the few area practices happy to provide wellness and medical care for backyard chickens
Dr.D has seven of her own backyard feathered friends (Blanche is one shown here) and she is excited to help you with your flock.
