Next Reviews We’ve loved the compassionate, friendly and professional service we’ve received from Newtown Square Vet! Our pup loves going there and you can tell the staff really cares for their furry patients. Highly recommend! We love, love, love Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital, and so does Brady! The staff is so accommodating and patient. I've never felt rushed and everyone is so friendly. I'm so glad when we got our puppy (almost 3 years ago!) that we started going there. They are the best! I took my cat here for her annual rabies vaccine during the quarantine/pandemic. My cat was perfectly happy upon returning to my car (despite my not being able to enter the vet office). I trust that they took great care of my cat and were very gentle with her. I would highly recommend them! They were also able to answer any and all of my questions and did so patiently. I have a new 12 week old rescue puppy who was itching up a storm. The team at NSVH was very responsive and "made the time" to fit us into their busy schedule. I am beyond pleased that my puppy will be taken care of by what I consider to be the VERY BEST Veterinary practice in the Main Line! Many thanks to Heather and the entire team! The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and show that they truly care about the wellness of your animals. I’ve been in a lot with one of my three dogs for skin issues and they’ve been beyond helpful in getting him on the road to recovery! And they also are great with accommodations if your pup doesn’t like other dogs. I can’t recommend them enough! Our pets have always received the best care with Dr. D and all of the staff at NSVH. I can ask for nothing more. With the many health issues my pup has had (frenchie with allergies), we’ve had many visits to NSVH over the last year, and they are simply the best! Dr D and her staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and compassionate. It’s clear that they care for my pup as much as I do. Friendly, compassionate, and modestly priced—I love being here. They allow full day drop-offs if you can't stay with your pet, which is a great option.I highly recommend this vet. This is a great vet practice for cats! They go out of their way to make cats as comfortable as possible during their visit and exam. I appreciate the sensitivity they have for my scaredy-cat! Very qualified and friendly vet for any pet. She really takes the time to work with the patient and make our dog comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital is the best vet I have been to. The staff is friendly and nice. Dr. DiGiacomo is down to earth and makes it easy to discuss anything going on with your animal. I highly recommend going here. Since having pets I've used 3 different vets in the area and Newtown Square is by far the best. As long as I have pets I will always bring them here. Everyone there really cares about the animals and the medical care is top notch. I am new to this Vet and so far it seems pretty good. Only time will tell but everyone it nice and it's clean! And my little guy hasn't wanted to bite anyone. Yeah! I'm extremely glad I chose NSVH for my pet care needs. Rory is a 60lb Golden/Lab Retriever who loves to go to the vet. I've never had to wait, the staff is extraordinary, and the facilities are always impeccably clean. Highly recommend. Best vet I have ever been to. They go above a beyond in every aspect. Max and Ellie are in the best of care. I just moved to Bryn Mawr and was referred to this vet practice for my three dogs. I have been so impressed with the customer service of all staff. I am very impressed with the level of detail they explain my dog’s care and their excellent follow up. I took my dog Lucy to Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital today and was extremely pleased! The office was beautiful and I especially loved seeing the fenced in potty area next to the building! The staff was very friendly and paid a lot of attention to my dog as soon as we walked in the door. I found Dr. DiGiacomo to be professional, but also very caring. During Lucy's examination she was very through and was sitting with Lucy on the floor to keep her comfortable. When I left I felt that Lucy was seen by a very experienced Veternarian and was given the medication that will help her through her illness. I will be back with my other dogs and feel very lucky to have found a vet so close to my home. Kind, compassionate, wonderful doctor and staff. Unfortunately, my visit with my bunny was a sad one, but they made a difficult time much easier. I’ve been to many vets over the years with different kinds of animals, but they are the best. They were extremely accommodating when I called for an emergency appointment, and were very kind and patient with us when we had to say our final goodbyes. I highly recommend them to anyone. ? This vet is wonderful! We have been taking our dog Frank there since he was a puppy and they are kind, relaxed and very considerate of your pet as well as your concerns. Dr. D takes her time with your appointment and treats each pet with love and kindness. Couldn't ask for a better experience. And all the staff is wonderful and really love your pet like their own. Highly recommend this vet for all your pet's needs. As you can see Louie loves his visits at NSVH! Dr. D. and the entire staff are so caring and give lots of love to Louie and all the pets. They don't use any force when examining or treating Louie and they are so thorough and take their time with you to explain everything. They go the extra mile to make a follow up call too. If you're looking for the BEST vet care this is your place. We love NSVH and Dr. D! She has taken expert care of our 3 kitties over the years, and is always compassionate, thoughtful and professional. The practice is certified Feline-Friendly and Fear-Free, and we especially love that there is a separate waiting room for cats vs. dogs. The staff is always friendly, and the hospital is impeccably clean with no odors. We send all our family & friends to Dr. D to take care of their furry friends! We love NSVH and Dr. D! Bonus, my girl loves the peanut butter treats :-D

Vaccinations are a scientific miracle. The number of human (and animal) lives saved by vaccinations cannot be overestimated. Once-common diseases such as canine distemper and feline panleukopenia have been virtually eliminated in vaccinated pets (I’ve only seen a handful of pets with these diseases, as opposed to some of my more seasoned colleagues, who used […] Read Full Post

A client said to me today: “My brother had his dog spayed at the Humane Society and it was only $100. Why is your clinic so much more expensive? Cost is an issue for us and if all things are equal, we would rather have our dog spayed there, too.” Sigh. All things aren’t equal […] Read Full Post

There is a longstanding joke among veterinarians: “Dog parks keep us in business.” Why is that the case? Dog parks are rife with well-intentioned owners and misbehaved dogs, resulting in dog fights and dog bites. Dog parks may seem like a good idea: a way to exercise Fido, a way to socialize him, a way to […] Read Full Post
